We really enjoyed our 1st Easter Bake Sale last year and it didn’t take much encouragement for the Trustees to get their sleeves rolled up and make some more delicious tempting treats for this year’s sale.
I must admit, having not read the small print on just how long it takes to ‘prove’ a hot cross bun, next year, I might find something that doesn’t take 3 1/2 hrs to bake!! All worth it in the end though and they did taste good. I just hope the people who bought them thought the same. They all went!!
Delicious flapjacks, fairy cakes, macaroons, chocolate nests with mini eggs, scones and delicious cakes made by Emma, our youngest supporter.
Our little knitted Owls were of course available, and more went ‘flying’ off to new homes in the region!
The raffle was well worth a 50p ticket as the prize was a beautiful family of knitted ducks, two large chocolate rabbits and a delicious Easter Egg.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported us. We raised £90 which will be put towards a trip for the younger age group to visit the Harry Potter experience.
